DIY: Paint Chip Wall Art

Written by

The definition of affordable art, this paint chip wall feature courtesy of A Beautiful Mess, is so cheap, you can afford to update it as often as you like. Wanna give the dude from Art-Attack a run for his money? Try your hand at an ombre version or hang a few in a row for impact.

You'll need:

  • Double sided tape
  • Large picture frame. Hello, IKEA
  • A pile of paint chips. Free! At your local hardware store.
  • White paper

How-To:

Arrange the paint chips on the floor before attaching double-sided tape on each corner of the chips and securing them to a piece of paper. Make sure you overlap the chips to hide the shade names before securing them down. Next, think of a favourite saying or expression and cut it out on white cardboard before attaching it to the chips with tape. Then, once you recover from it's beauty, it's time to show it off in the frame. Too easy.

Who wants to rob the Dulux section at Bunnings with us at lunch?

Reckon you've got what it takes to crack an ombre version?
