It's not all about sunning yourself, attempting to look like you know what you're doing on a surf board and munching on suspicious cookies in Byron Bay on NSW's far north coast. Nope. All of a sudden it's about shopping too! Here's where to start...
Who: 11:11
What: A cool mix of street-y labels like Stolen Girlfriends Club, Karen Walker, Something Else and Friend Of Mine are all housed in an oh-so cool store that left me with a long wish-list and some interior inspiration.
Where: 3/20 Fletcher St, Byron Bay

Who: Byron Unplugged
What: You wouldn't expect smart, luxe preppy threads to be in demand in the hemp pant loving Byron, but the lovely pieces stocked in Byron Unplugged kinda work in their environment. Our pick of the brands? Maison Scotch is the stuff fancy Hampton-holidayers dreams are made of. Think linen, navy and beautiful leather pieces.
Where: Shop 1/2 Lawson Street, Byron Bay

Who: Island Tribe Luxe
What: This is the shop that got me itching to spend some serious dough. When you're flaunting shelves filled with brands like Twenty 8 Twelve (Sienna Miller and her sister's label) and French label IRO (think Isabel Marant without the insane price tag) it's hard for me not to pull out the plastic. Wardrobe full? Well, you're still not in the clear, Island Luxe Tribe also boast some of the finest home wares in town.
Where: 1/11 Marvel Street Byron Bay

Who: Hope & May

Where: Shop 2/20 Fletcher St, Byron Bay

Who: Happy Flamingoes
What: Despite it's fun name this little store is filled with sharp corporate suiting and practical shoes. ZING! Of course it's not. In fact, you'll be hard pressed finding a shop with quirkier vintage finds. If it's novelty sunglasses, slogan tees and bold printed dresses you're after, head here!
Where: 1/1 Marvel St, Byron Bay

Who: Sweet Papillon
What: I'm quite the fine jewellery fiend, so all the gorgeous hand crafted jewels in Sweet Papillon were definitely my cup of tea. Mexican inspired frocks and beachy home wares also call this sweet store home.
Where: 31a Fletcher Street, Byron Bay

Who: Greenhouse
What: Need to spruce up your digs with some cool and colourful home wares? Make a beeline to this slick store. Marimekko, Ititalia, French Bull and a killer range of Pantone goodies brighten up the shelves of Greenhouse.
