Vinko, I swear there's a man drought going on. Why is it so hard to find The One?
We all live busy lives and have a lot of boxes to tick across so many areas of our lives making it increasingly hard to make time for dating. Also I think people have forgotten how to date and communicate - the internet, email and instant messaging have made us lazy - conversation is an art and when it comes to meeting new people we don’t know what to say or how to behave. We also start the process with too many expectations - we need to relax more, remove distractions and make the time to get to know the person.
Give the dude a chance, got it. How important do you think personal appearance is when it comes to dating?
Personal appearance isn’t just about wearing clean clothes and making sure you've styled your hair. Of course, take into account where the date is because you want to be comfortable in your surroundings, but making an effort will allow you to represent yourself in the best way possible. Making a great first impression is vital - dress to impress!
Oh, that I can do. So what's your top tip to being a better dater?
Creativity. If I hear one more “should we go out for dinner or see a movie” I will scream – boring! It's important to do something unique and individual. Create an unconventional date - if possible, something that he's interested in. Do some research and show initiative. And if things are going well by the third or fourth date, then you can lock yourself indoors!
