DIY: Studded Phone Case

Written by

So in case you haven't heard there's been some renewed speculation of late regarding the safety of our lifelines... I mean, mobile phones. Namely, that they're causing nasty things to grow inside our brains. Hark: horror movie waiting to happen! Which is probably why when this Pong case landed on my desk I sat up and took due notice. Thanks to some fancy science, these cases are actually proven to reduce your exposure to radiation and protect your signal strength at the same time. Which is great. Really great. And they come in a whole mess of variations - iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry - you name it, they've got it. But, you know what... I reckon they could use a little bling. And so I give you: How To Make Your Own Studded Radiation-Reducing Phone Cover 101!

One | You will need a Pong case.

Two | You will also need a hot glue gun.

Three | Now you will need to get thee some studs (these beauties came via eBay)

Four | Next, snap off those annoying prongs and then line up the studs on your case. When you're happy, just hot glue those suckers on.

Five | And you're done! Now stand back and just be cool, man Just be cool.

An iPhone 4S Pong case starts at $59.95 and you can get yours at pongmobile.com.au. Sorry for the blurry photos...  it was 2am. So cool I cant sleep.
